Chief Electrical Design Engineer

$140k to $180k + quarterly incentives – Onsite

Olathe, KS

Bell & Associates has been engaged to help our client find a Chief Electrical Design Engineer for their manufacturing site in Olathe, KS. In this customer-facing role you will be responsible for:

• Working as a Senior in a team of 25 Design Engineers – no direct reports
• Interacts with the Sales Team and outside customers regarding specific designs. Partners with the Sales Team for new business development.
• Researches and evaluates materials and manufacturing processes.
• Resolves technical problems with both internal and external customers. Serves as a technical resource in Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) processes.
• Partners with the Quality team in resolving issues with customers, production, or supply chain.
• Provides mentorship for engineering positions and assists with designs, as required.
• Provides design review for other engineers and recognizes/communicates potential technical and manufacturing problems concerning new product designs.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 10 years experience in engineering positions. Preference shown to advanced degrees and certifications. Must have AS9100 & ISO experience. Some national travel is expected, less than 30%.
