$85-110k plus yearly and quarterly incentives

Bell & Associates has been engaged to help our client find their next Commercial Banking Officer. The Commercial Banking Officer originates and services a wide variety of business and individual loans, both secured and unsecured. They are responsible for developing and cultivating quality business and customer relationships.
Responsibilities
- Attends to the needs of primarily business customers seeking loans on terms that may involve unsecured and/or commercial loans or mortgages.
- Originates and services a number of customers either assigned by the bank or individually developed through calling, walk-in or other marketing programs.
- Conducts loan interviews with existing or prospective borrows in accordance with the bank’s lending policy.
- Makes decisions on loans and terms if within own lending limits or makes recommendations to the Senior Loan Committee.
- Participates with senior officers on larger loans and keeps informed as to the status of loans in the department.
- Complies with the bank’s lending policies.
- Services a portfolio of loans to ensure complete conformity to original terms, conditions, and policies.
- Stays current on industrial, commercial, and financial situations relating to customers.
- Calls on potential or existing customers to develop new business and increase or retain existing business.
- Conducts all interactions with internal and external customers in accordance with the company.
- Achieves and maintain general knowledge of all aspects of the bank and our services to cross sell products and answer customer questions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business or finance required.
- 4+ years previous banking experience required – commercial lending or real estate lending experience required.
- Must be a self-starter and have an open approach to selling and cold calling.
- Ability to manage relationships and negotiate for new business.
- Ability to adapt to new prospecting and sales/calling programs and produce new commercial business.
- Ability to partner and influence as well as relate and empathize with people.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects/tasks with timely follow through .
- Must demonstrate effective oral and interpersonal communication skills and perform presentations well in front of small and large groups.
- Strong ability to grasp financial/business concepts and processes.
- Detail and goal-oriented
- Working knowledge of MS Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of other bank systems is a plus.
