Business to Business Accounts Receivable Specialist
The Accounts Receivable Specialist will maintain responsibility for the timely follow-up and continual touch points with clients who maintain open A/R. In addition, the AR Specialist will be primarily responsible for the daily reconciliation and settlement of related party A/R balances ensuring timely processing of payments internally keeping balance sheets as clean as possible for month-end reporting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Requires a core knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and adherence to those.
· Reconciles monthly general ledger accounts related to AR (internally/externally).
· Makes professional contacts with 3rd party clients regarding timeliness of open A/R.
· Strengthen and grow relationships with clients by communicating with customers regarding past-due accounts striking balance between firmness and fairness.
· Maintains collection notes in Microsoft D365 tracking current actions and timelines on payment commitments.
· Processes internal settlements between parties keeping those balance sheet accounts clean and up to date.
· Supports daily revenue operations including reconciliation of various systems that report sales at month-end.
· Prepare analytical and ratio analyses relevant to A/R so management can gain a better understanding of how collection efforts are progressing.
· Provide back-up invoicing support for invoicing.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
· Two to five years of prior Business to Business AR experience. As well as experience working within an Accounting department.
· Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience preferred.
· Microsoft Suite experience with an emphasis on intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups).
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Must be detail oriented with high focus on accuracy.
· Must be self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, highly fluid environment.
· Must be at least 21 years of age and authorized to work in the US.
Education Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (preferred not required)
