Bell & Associates has been engaged to help our client find their next HR Generalist. The HR Generalist will serve as a key member of the Human Resources department. This role is responsible for assisting with open enrollment process, full cycle recruiting for their facilities, and other various duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:
- Posting job openings, reviewing resumes, and conducting initial candidate screenings.
- Coordinating interviews and assessments.
- Assisting in the development of job descriptions and specifications.
- Conducting new employee orientations and onboarding activities.
- Administering employee benefits programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
- Keeping up-to-date with industry standards and adjusting compensation and benefits packages as needed.
- Ensuring compliance with labor laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Managing employee records and documentation, including maintaining confidentiality.
- Managing HR-related paperwork, such as contracts, employment agreements, and termination documents.
- Promoting a safe and healthy work environment.
- Coordinating workplace safety programs and initiatives.
- Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field is often preferred.
- Relevant certifications such as the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or the Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) – A plus!
- Strong understanding of human resources principles, practices, and employment law.
- Prior experience in HR roles, such as HR assistant, coordinator, or specialist, can be valuable for transitioning into a generalist role.
