Inventory Data Specialist

Under the direction of the Procurement Manager, the Inventory Data Specialist is responsible for maintaining the organizations inventory levels through the data entry of engineered bill of materials, processing of cycle count adjustments and project changes. Continuous audits of inventory usages for appropriate stocking requirements.
Essential Duties
- Enter electrical engineering drawings, schematics, releases, and bill of materials into the company ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system to create inventory and purchasing material requirements.
- Responsible for collecting, reconciling, and processing of all non-bill of material transactions.
- Process all weekly VMI/RIMS vendor stocking recommendations through purchase order entry.
- Responsible for computer inventory adjustment data per weekly cycle counts.
- Maintain accurate and consistent stock inventory. Ensure adequate inventory levels are present.
- Complete all necessary stock adjustments, maintain accurate records in computer system and respond to accounting in a timely manner.
- First point of contact for all Material Disposition Forms to review, process, and/or distribute to applicable department.
- Assess inventory reports and order patterns to identify items in need of automatic, recurring delivery, and/or intentional stock and report to Procurement Manager.
- Maintain inventory maintenance levels and report any necessary purchasing or return needs to Procurement Manager.
- Process vendor returns and complete necessary computer adjustments as unused componentry are identified.
- Conduct frequent spot and partial audits of engineer bill of materials for accuracy.
- Assist with monthly and annual financial review as it relates to inventory.
- Responsible for entering all new part numbers into computer system.
- Complete all necessary and assigned special projects as they arise.
- Processing all inventory and purchasing transactions related to spare part order requirements.

- Responsible for facility cleanliness and maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
- Follow, comply and enforce all safety and work-related rules, regulations. and policies. Make recommendations regarding safe working methods.
- Continuous participation and engagement in process improvement strategies.
- Perform various duties as requested by management.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Fluent working knowledge of bill of materials and blueprints.
- Exceptional attention to detail, timeliness, and accuracy of completed work.
- Ability to perform basic operations such as add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
- Ability to independently resolve issues/problems with good judgment.
- Ability to assess situations to determine the importance, urgency and risks and make clear, timely decisions that are in the best interest of the department and the organization. Possess the ability to see an issue or situation from different points of view.
- Ability to listen attentively, ask questions ensuring clear expectations, follow directions and provide prompt continuous follow-up.
- Deliver pleasant, timely and responsive interactions with customers (internal and external).
- Ability to build relationships, good rapport and instill confidence. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with many personality types and adapt to varying environments, task5, people and change in general.

Education and Experience
- 5-7 years related experience in a highly engineering-based manufacturing setting
- Minimum of 5 years in an lnventory Control position; Financial acumen a plus
