Bell & Associates has been engaged to help our client find their next Sr. Accountant. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations and ensuring accurate financial reporting for several National and State Parks. You will work closely with the finance team and play a key role in maintaining the company’s financial health.

Responsibilities

  • Perform the general ledger month close process, including data entry of daily revenues and preparation of journal entries.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and month end account reconciliations.
  • Reconcile inventory to the sub system and assist locations with year-end physical counts.
  • Prepare monthly reports for regulatory agencies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and tax regulations.
  • Participate in monthly calls to review results with operational leaders.
  • Prepare and file sales tax returns timely.
  • Other special projects as assigned by Controller or CFO.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting
  • CPA Required
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and tax regulations
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software
