Sr. Accountant

Bell & Associates has been engaged to help our client find their next Sr. Accountant.

Responsibilities

• All aspects of the accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries and reconciliations
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances and opportunities for improvement
• Monitor and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and maintain financial integrity
• Assist with external audits and tax filings, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
• Stay updated on industry, regulations and accounting standards to ensure compliance and best practices
• Support special projects and initiatives as directed by senior management and recommend ways to reduce cost and enhanced revenue
• Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and alert the controller if necessary
• Reconcile accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
• Contributing to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in accounting is preferred
• Proven experience 5+ years in accounting roles
• Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting requirements
• advanced Excel skills
• Excellent analytic goal and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail. Ability to multitask, prioritize task and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• NetSuite – 3 years preferred
• Inventory controlled preferred.
