$175-200k plus 25-35% bonus

Bell & Associates has been engaged to find our client their next VP Finance. The VP of Finance will lead financial planning, strategy, treasury, and capital forecasting. This individual will be a key contributor in the development and coordination of the company’s financial planning processes, models, and systems, along with the development of corporate management and KPI reporting and provide analysis to identify economic, industry and business trends.

This role will work closely with the CFO, executive leadership, finance team, and business leaders to provide all aspects of financial support for planning, treasury oversight, capital management, and analysis. This will include forecasting, variance analysis, cash flow analysis and other ad-hoc examinations. The analysis and support provided by this individual has the potential to be a major driver in the overall success of the company’s continued growth.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute corporate finance initiatives including capital structure planning, forecasting, performance tracking and acquisition integration
  • Predict, assess and mitigate execution risk of business goals & initiatives
  • Assist in the management of internal & third-party providers of various financial due diligence workstreams, vetting deliverables and confirming congruency with investment models
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to provide regular updates, participate in board meetings and respond to analytic and ad hoc requests as needed
  • Management of treasury functions and cash strategy
  • Create financial models and analyses of financial and operational metrics to evaluate and direct business performance
  • Manage the required cadence of bank reporting and covenant compliance
  • Drive capital efficiency and free cash flow through management of capital purchases, exploration of capital financing alternatives and development of return on assets metrics
  • Thought leadership and partnering with management to drive sound financial decisions and operational efficiencies
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly reporting packages for management and Board of Directors meetings
  • Continuously improve and evolve insights garnered through financial results and KPIs.
  • Collaborate with finance and cross-functional partners to scope, launch, and scale new initiatives
  • Coach and mentor direct reports, adjacent team members, and field personnel to develop their skills and ensure a culture of collaboration

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in corporate finance and analysis, including experience in a leadership role.
  • Experience in a capital intensive industry
  • Experience working in private equity sponsored companies in high growth, fast-paced environments.
  • Demonstrated experience as a lead in treasury modeling & management (ABL experience a plus)
  • Demonstrated track record of leading with operational rigor based upon extensive quantitative analysis and a bias for measurement
  • Experience partnering with operations leaders in a decentralized structure.
  • Well-versed in capital markets with ability to construct complex lender models
  • Outstanding knowledge and understanding of financial statements, financial modeling, purchase accounting and financial reporting
  • Innovative and creative thinker with the ability to derive best practices with demonstrated ability to express complex ideas in a clear and concise manner
  • Demonstrate advanced proficiency with Excel, as well as other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to shape consensus with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Ability to quickly assess data, distill insights and define/recommend solutions
  • Strong emotional intelligence and the ability to quickly build internal and external relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, manage deadlines and successfully prioritize multiple competing assignments.
