Bell & Associates has been engaged to find our client their next Quality Manager. The Quality Manager will provide direct oversight, leadership and accountability for the Quality function for the Nashville facility. The Quality Manager will oversee the Quality Management System (QMS) through planning, coordinating, and directing programs to meet or exceed customer quality requirements. This role will lead and take ownership of the organization’s regulatory, internal, and customer AS9100D and NADCAP compliance program to ensure the quality of all products and components are met.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the planning, development, implementation of the Quality function for the site including the administration and improvement of the Quality Management System.
- Direct internal audit and management review schedule to ensure compliance with AS9100D requirements
- Establishes operating policies and procedures for inspection, testing, and evaluation to meet customer specifications prior to shipping
- Oversee site corrective action system & process, blue streak activity as well as interface with operations management to facilitate continuous improvement and defect reduction.
- Responsible for quality issues involving operations, manufacturing and supply chain.
- Accountable for budget performance of all assigned functions.
- Direct all activities for Quality personnel including Quality Engineering, MRB and inspection for the site to include performance evaluations, attendance and time-off and approval of all assigned personnel.
Requirements
- BA/BS in Engineering or other technical degree
- 5+ years of leadership experience in quality, inspection or quality engineering
- 10+ years of related Aerospace industry experience and Aerospace manufacturing quality system knowledge
- Training in AS9100D or ISO 9001 system requirements
- Auditing experience preferred
- Experience with quality issues involving operations, manufacturing, supply chain, bench dimensioning, CMM operations and programming, AS9102 FAI reporting, calibration and hardness testing
- Strong leadership, facilitation, and communication skills including ability to interact and communicate effectively within all levels of the organization
- Effective computer skills, including MS Office, data analysis software (e.g. Minitab), etc.
- This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22.C.F.R. § is required
