‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all thro’ the land,
All the people were searching, for a job that is grand;
The recruiters were calling all the clients with care,

In hopes that their candidate would soon be employed there;

The hiring managers were gone, already on vacation,
While HR was still working through the duration;
And the marketers were still scrapping, trying to make a close,
While the candidates were all worried as the interview process slows;

 

When into our emails we dove each new day,
The clients were still contacting us, but what would they say?
“We’re trying to fill this before the new year,
Can we set up these interviews?  And see if they’ll appear?”

We jumped on the phones and dialed at haste,

We must get them scheduled, or they’ll go to waste!
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
All the candidates were responding, and responding with cheer!

One by one, they were scheduled in a flash;
Confirmed with both parties to avoid abash.
More rapid than eagles, the candidates conversed;
And they flew through the interviews, as they had rehearsed!

Controllers, Accountants, and even CFO’s,
Flying through interviews as fast as the wind blows.
To the top of the cubicle! to the top of the wall!
Please be prepared for the next phone call!

They all got hired and went straight to work,
And then we looked back at all the groundwork;
It caused us to cheer with extreme delight,
and nearing 2019, everything felt right!

Our captain planned a call and to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew, with an early dismissal!
But I heard him exclaim, at the end of the call –
“Happy Holidays to you and Merry Christmas to all.”
