Up to $155k-$175k + 20% bonus

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Controller specialized in the fuel industry to oversee financial operations, accounting processes, and regulatory compliance within our organization. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of fuel accounting, cost management, and financial strategies specific to the fuel sector.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, with a focus on the intricacies of the fuel industry.
• Manage all aspects of fuel accounting, including inventory tracking, cost analysis, and reconciliation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
• Stay abreast of industry regulations, ensuring strict adherence to compliance requirements in fuel accounting and reporting.
• Generate comprehensive financial reports, highlighting fuel-related metrics, and provide strategic insights to senior management for decision-making.
• Analyze fuel-related costs, identify opportunities for cost savings, and develop strategies to optimize fuel efficiency and profitability.
• Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work culture.
• Identify areas for process enhancement and implement best practices to streamline financial operations within the fuel industry context.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or relevant certification required.
• 8-10+ years of progressive experience in financial management.
• Deep knowledge of fuel accounting principles, fuel inventory management, and cost analysis methodologies.
• Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and compliance standards.
• Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills for data analysis.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic industry environment.
