Mechanical Engineering Manager

Bell & Associates

Bell & Associates is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Manager for a local Machinery Manufacturer.


  • Plans and organizes project staff according to project requirements and schedules.
  • Assigns project personnel to specific phases or aspects of project such as technical studies, machine design, detail drawings and bills of material.
  • Reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and customer contract requirements, and related specifications.
  • Coordinates activities, with the Project Engineering Supervisor, as it relates to technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design problems.
  • Develops and maintains engineering standards for the department.
  • Ensures completion of internal and customer machine design reviews.
  • Evaluates and approves design changes, specifications, and drawing releases.
  • Ensures the completion of risk assessments for all new machinery, ensuring that new equipment meets industry safety standards.
  • Ensures completion of mechanical component of project operator manuals.
  • Supports service to solve and satisfy customer issues.
  • Directly supervises 4 to 10 employees in the Mechanical Engineering department that are assigned to projects.

  • Requires bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
  • 10 years Mechanical Design experience
  • CAD and Engineering Analysis Software Experience
