Senior Mechanical Engineer

The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for providing design, engineering skill, and leadership while working closely with the leadership team, and other departments to drive company growth and initiatives.

Duties include:

• Assist and supervise Senior CAD operator with required engineering expertise to complete design activities

• Prior experience producing accurate bills of materials for existing and new products.
• Reviewing product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications.
• Layout, draw and reproduce illustrations for reference manuals and technical publications
• Create 3D layouts of overall builds for fit, form and function verification as well for customer approval.
• Work with Senior CAD operator to ensure build documentation accuracy
• Responsible for compliance and regulation adherence
• Will perform structural analysis for new and existing engineered components
• Work on multiple projects independently
• Supervising one employee, CAD Operator
• Reports to the President

Job Requirements:

• 5 years’ experience in Dump Body build out or vocational/industrial transportation
• Bachelor’s Degree Required
• Must be highly computer literate with data mining and ERP systems, have strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, time management and analytical skills.
• ERP system, including implementation, experience a plus
• Expertise with MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
• AutoCAD or other 3D modeling software experience required
• Aftermarket dump truck/dump body system design experience preferred
• Hydraulic and pneumatic system experience preferred
