Bell & Associates is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Manager for a local Machinery Manufacturer.

ENGINEER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyzes sales proposals, product or equipment specifications and performance requirements to determine designs which can be produced by existing manufacturing facilities and methods.
• Ensures sound engineering principles and theories are applied to new equipment designs.
• Assists, as needed, in the formulation and documentation of new mechanical engineering procedures.
• Confers with manufacturing personnel to clarify or resolve problems and develop designs.
• Prepares or supervises completion of equipment layouts and detailed drawings.
• Compiles and analyzes operational, test, and research data to establish performance standards for newly designed or modified equipment or products.
• Analyzes test data and reports to determine if design meets functional and performance specifications.
• Evaluates machine test results for possible application in future development of systems or other uses.

• Oversees completion of project work, to produce quality and safe equipment while staying on budget and on schedule.
• Supervises contract personnel and other engineers as needed on a per project basis. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work and resolving problems.
• Reports project status, dates, highlights to Project Engineering Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
• 7-10+ years of Machinery design experience
• 2+ project management experience.
• Proficient in SolidWorks & familiarity with GD&T.
